Last Harbor Guide
Last Harbor resource locations
Where to find every Last Harbor resource — metal, fuel, cloth, wood, chemicals and electronics — across the San Juan Islands.
The Last Harbor resource map is the single most important thing to learn. Knowing which island has metal, which has fuel and which has chemicals is the difference between a 30-minute scavenging run and a 3-hour one. This guide catalogs every confirmed resource location and the islands that drop them.
Wood
Wood is the most common resource. It is on every island, in every building, and on every beach. The high-density wood spots are forested islands (piles of fallen logs), shipyards (lumber storage) and construction sites. Wood is rarely the bottleneck.
Cloth
Cloth is common but not ubiquitous. The high-density cloth spots are residential buildings (beds, wardrobes, curtains), fishing docks (nets, sails) and shipwrecks (torn sails). Cloth is used in bandages, sails and storage crates.
Metal
Metal is the first bottleneck. It is the gating resource for hull upgrades, weapons, traps and boat defenses. The high-density metal spots are vehicle wrecks (the most reliable), shipyards, machine shops and construction sites. The single best metal run is a 4-vehicle junkyard on the western island ring.
Fuel & oil
Fuel is the second bottleneck. It is the gating resource for the engine, the workbench and the campfire. The high-density fuel spots are gas stations (single use, but reliable), fuel depots (multi-use, but rare) and sunken boats (free, but require diving). One gas station equals roughly 6 hours of engine time.
Chemicals
Chemicals are rare. They are the gating resource for antibiotics, painkillers and the Molotov cocktail. The high-density chemical spots are hospitals (the most reliable), pharmacies, laboratories and medical research stations (only on the largest commercial islands).
Electronics
Electronics (spring, bolt, wire) are the rarest. They are the gating resource for the Tier-3 machine shop, the deck cannon and the reinforced hull. The high-density electronic spots are machine shops, electronics stores, military ruins and vehicle wrecks. The single best electronic run is the commercial harbor machine shop at the center of the archipelago.
